Who We Are
Born out of a passion for children, Babyland was conceptualized in 1970 by
Ma. Teresa E. Rodriguez, then married to the late Atty. Pacifico Castro (founder of the Kameraworld group of companies).Tess, as she is commonly known among friends, was a graduate of Child Study from Maryknoll College. Germinating from a small candy counter, Babyland is now a 40-year-old business, doing one thing—giving all the best for all your baby’s needs.
Having turned a leaf as Ms. Ma. Teresa R. Alba (through an exchange of vows with Amb. Frank Alba), Tess continues to find purpose in spearheading advocacies—Lamaze, breast feeding, baby wearing, child stimulation and discipline—all of which fall under the mantel of Attachment Parenting. Knowing full well that the early nurturing of a child has a tremendous imprint in the self esteem and character of a child.
Presently, Babyland retails items for babies ages 0 to 3 years old.Our desire at Babyland is to assist parents with their child’s needs, believing that a healthy bond between parent and child spells the difference. A secure child develops into a productive adult, who is able to lead others. To be part of the effort is our pleasure!
