About Us
Colegio de la Consolacion or La Consolacion College Manila as it is known was founded in 1902. Originally started as a Colegio-Asilo by the Catalan-Spanish Augustinian Sisters in 1883, the institution closed doors during the Phil-American war in 1899 and reopened that same year under the administration of Filipino Augustinian Sisters. It was transferred to San Rafael St. San Miguel, Manila in 1911 and became the first school to receive government recognition to teach English.
On her centennial year, LCCM is crossing the threshold of the 21st century by committing itself as a learning community, a Catholic institution of higher learning and performing its educational apostolate in the light of Christian teachings and the Augustinian ideals and traditions.
LCCM is beautifully nestled in its present 3.0 hectare campus bounded by the historic Mendiola, San Rafael and J.P. Laurel Streets (University Belt and Malacañang Palace) Complex.
